"Fruits GoGo" at Monkeyhouse Toys

Hey ya'll, just your good 'ol friend the Boogervampire checkin' in and spreadin' the word (even if a bit last minute) about a show I'm participating in this month over at Monkeyhouse Toys in Silverlake, Ca. It's a little show called "Fruits GoGo" based upon the street fashions seen sported by teenagers in Japan.

I'm very excited to have on display my very first custom guitar "Two-Dee Fruity". If your in the area, please feel free to stop by and check it out (the show of course, not just my guitar) from August 2nd, 2008 to August 17th 2008!

"Sleight of Hand" Has Arrived

I'll keep this news update short and sweet. Finally, after almost 2 years, the Films section is complete. "Sleight of Hand", my freshman film, has been reconstucted and added.

Unfortunately it's not exactly like the original version, as I built the original film using an outdated video compressor that no computer recognizes any more, and I couldn't find a VHS around my house with the film on it, so during the rebuilding process most of the edits had to be done from memory.

It's amazing how much people grow and change. My animation and over all skills improved so much over those 4 years, and is still growing today.

It's nice to take a trip down Memory Lane and view the evolution I've been a part of.

I hope you enjoy "Sleight of Hand", and with any luck, "Food Fight" will be online before the end of the year for you to enjoy.

Thanks for tunein' in!

Time Flies When Your Having Fun

I hadn't realized that it's been over 9 months since I'd updated anything here on the good ol' webby-website. So here's a news update.

Fate has brought me into a new chapter of my life, as I've parted ways with the land of Neopia. I've left many talented people and good friends behind to start a new journey and take my first big step into the television animation universe.

In January 2008 I was brought on board for season 12 of the television series South Park. It's been a very crazy experience and it's taken me away from the "real world" for the past 4 months. It's an ardous job, but well worth it and tons of fun. I've met some really awesome people and already learned a lot about the industry, myself, and the importance of deoderant in a small space with 6 big guys (not to mention scented candles after Taco Tuesdays). I've been lucky enough to be asked back for the second half of Season 12 and look forward to all the craziness that awaits me when I return in the fall.

(Oh, and just in case you were curious, we really do make each episode in 6 days. We start on Thursday and finish on Wednesday morning, just in time for it to air on TV that same night. Super crazy stuff, huh?)

And now, after 4 months of craziness, I get my first hiatus EVER!!! 4 months of rest, relaxation, taking a class at Art Center, painting, possibly making a new film, rebuilding my freshman film, and re-educating myself on the fine art of storyboarding. Good times. :)

Now on to the 'real' news, as this section is supposed to be about site updates as well. Over in the Gallery Shows section, a new painting has been added. I took part in Power in Numbers 3 over at Gallery Nucleus.

This year the show was benefiting the Make-a-Wish Foundation and was overjoyed when I found out my piece had sold. So check out "Angler Fishy" when you get a chance, and there are still other great pieces avaiable online if you feel so inclined as to pick up a pretty picture and donate to a great cause at the same time.
