Small Site Update

Greetings and salutations all! Time for yet another Boogervampire.com update. Lets get to the nitty-gritty, shall we?

Over in the Paintings section, you'll see that I've finally had the time to upload one of the paintings from the Monkeyhouse Toys show from back in March. I decided to do the evolution of Medusa's snake hair styles through time. Specifically the 1960's, 1970's and 1990's. It would have probably been funnier if I'd gone in sucession and done a hairstyle from the 1980's, but the idea of Medusa shaving all her snakes off instead of two so she could have "Tank Girl" hair was too funny to pass up.

Also in the paintings section you'll find the first of a series of six paintings I plan on working on for myself in my free time. As a child I loved both the movie and the board game of Clue, so I decided to do a little fan art. First up is Ms. Scarlet, so please feel free to go take a gander.

Finally, I've added a new vector image to the Portfolio section of the site. Just a little gothic/deep sea mermaid. I'm not a huge fan of mermaids, but I was comissioned to do one for someone as a gift for their swim team. When I got finished with the patriotic, red, white and blue version, I decided to do a recolor of an alternate design with some of my prefered color choices.

As usual, please feel free to check out more of my doodles and such over on the Facebook Fan page or over at the Bloggy Blog!

Until the next time!

Art Shows (Almost) Everywhere!!

Greetings my little boogery followers! It is I the your booger-rific host back to give you a little update!

March is starting out with a BANG! Well, a bang in the form of a couple art/gallery exhibitions.

First up, is the Women In Animation group show which is running from March 4th through March 24th. It's being held at the Animation Guild's Hollywood/Burbank, CA office's Gallery. If you're in the area stop by and check it out!

For the Women In Animation show I created one new piece of artwork which you can now see on display in the Paintings section here on the site. You can also purchase a copy of the new painting over at the Crypt of DOOM!! starting Monday, March 7th.

Next up for your good 'ol Boogervampire is my first showing at the brand new Monkeyhouse Toys location in Silverlake. The title of the show is still unknown, but the theme is "Hair and Moustaches". I won't be posting the piece here on the site until after the opening weekend, but I can tell you it's amusing to say the least.

Once I know more about the new Monkeyhouse Exhibition I'll post info up here on the site well as on the Bloggy Blog.

One final thing, before I leave you all for another month (or two), if you like what you see here on Boogervampire.com and would like to see more, head on over to Facebook! The Boogervampire now has a Fan Page. Please feel free to "like" it if you'd like to get some booger by booger updates!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope that this year started out with a bang and will continue to bring everyone a happy, prosperous and eventful 2011!

As I'm sure many of you have noticed, poor Boogervampire.com got neglected a tad through out the second half of 2010. When you work as much as I did when South Park is in full production, it's no wonder. But I hope to rectify this in the first couple of months of 2011. I guess you can say it's a resolution to show the website a little love this year. :D

Speaking of South Park, and employment in general, check the portfolio section to see a couple new items before the end of January. The unused version of Snookie from the Jersey Shore episode just may show up. You never know.

I'm thinking I'll keep January's update short and sweet. Once again, everyone, Happy New Year and may 2011 be filled with pleasant surprises.
